I first tasted this stuff in Paris, when visiting my sister. For the next few years, I looked and looked and looked but never found it in shops. There was a Lee Kum Kee fair at the Chicago Yaohan, even then they didn't have it. I don't why the stuff's so hard to find. I looked and looked and tasted and tasted chili oils from all sorts of different brands and from every Chinese restaurant I came across, nothing tasteed the same. Now it seems it's available from Amazon - how nice!
